Community Relations

We recognise that how our site teams respond to the communities they interact with is critical to the success of our projects. In support of this, at project level we will appoint a dedicated member of the site team to take overall responsibility for matters relating to community consultation and communication. This 'champion' will seek to organise and deliver effective liaison and communication, ensuring best possible co-operation with stakeholders through the adoption of a respectful approach to all parties.
We know that construction work can sometimes cause disturbance through noise, dust, vibration, disruption to traffic and so on. We are committed to establishig control mechanisms, minimising all impacts and ensuring anyone who may be affected by our activities is kept informed and any inconvenience minimised.
In developing successful community relations we seek to:
- Identify people and organisations who may be affected by our activities
- Introduce our key personnel and establish lines of communication
- Provide assurance on the steps taken to mitigate negative impacts
- Consult with affected parties and react to their concerns
- Communicate regularly through a variety of means to provide updates on activities
