Dean and Dyball lend a hand for eco - friendly greenhouse
Children at Alphington Primary School in Exeter city centre, have been doing their bit for the environment and have designed and constructed an eco friendly greenhouse made out of plastic bottles.
Ben Nock Fencing supplied the timber, with contractors Dean and Dyball lending a hand to construct the timber frame. Year 6 pupils were then left with the task of putting the plastic bottles in place to make the sides and roof. Once complete the children can look forward to growing their own seeds for fruit and vegetables.
Teacher, Phil Clarke, said: “It is fantastic that Dean and Dyball got involved helping us construct the timber frame. It was a brilliant project for the whole school to be involved with, especially Year 6 as they come to the end of their time here”.
The eco greenhouse is made up of approximately 2000 plastic bottles collected and prepared by the school children and their parents. The eco greenhouse will play an important part in the children’s education and school life for years to come.
