Tisbury STW
Civil engineering work and mechanical and electrical works for phosphorus removal at Tisbury STW.
Phosphorous removal is required under the EU Habitats Directive to reduce the risk of nutrient enrichment in the Hampshire Avon, with improvements to be made in the Dorset Frome catchment area to improve Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) under the Countryside and Rights of Way Act.
With works now completed the phosphorous will be removed by chemical dosing and the resulting sewage sludge will be treated accordingly.
